We’re having a party, and you’re invited! Ubuntu-Arizona LoCo Team is holding an Ubuntu 8.04 (Hardy Heron) release party in 2 locations. The Phoenix location is already established, and posted in the last post.

The reason for the separate parties is strictly because of the distances involved. Though we would love to get the whole Team together in one place, we recognize the difficulty some people have in traveling the distances involved. So, for this time at least, we elected to go for 2 more centralized locations for the majority of Team members.
The purpose of the party is to celebrate the release of Ubuntu 8.04 (release date April 24, 2008) and to demonstrate what Ubuntu is all about to those who don’t know. This is a time for Team members to meet each other in other than an online setting. It is also an opportunity for those who don’t know about Linux, Ubuntu, or what the Teams are all about to ask questions and meet the people that help out. Here’s your opportunity to see what this is all about without obligation on your part. Just a friendly get-together to celebrate the distribution we enjoy.
