Many years ago (please don’t remind me of my age) my brother introduced me to an amazing piece of music called “Adventures in a Perambulator”, by American composer John Alden Carpenter. The work depicted a day in the life of a young child - an outing with her nurse and what she experienced. This was very descriptive music, right down to the wobbly pram wheel.

My experiences in Linux are much like that child’s experiences with the world. Everything is new, yet somehow familiar. There is excitement in every new experience, as well as frustration in not being able to be as deeply involved as I would like.
